Covid-19 Safety Precautions and Procedures

Updated July 6th, 2020

During the Covid-19 epidemic Arlington Prime Pediatrics will continue to be open and continue to provide the best care for your child. We are encouraging everyone to follow the CDC’s guidelines on social distancing to protect not only our children but also the elderly and infirm.

At Arlington Prime Pediatrics, we have been keeping up with the latest research and epidemiology of COVID-19.  We have been implementing new COVID 19 safety procedures before they are even mandated by the medical board.

Our new check in procedures below ensure safety for our staff and for our patients and families.  Please watch the video below for step-by-step instruction on our new check-in procedure.

1. Well child checks are in the a.m. Sick visits are in the afternoon/end of day.  We offer families the ability to do telemedicine throughout the day.  It is convenient and gives you peace of mind.  If a lab procedure needs to be done such as a throat swab, we can have you drive into our parking lot and swab your child in the car.

2. We are now scheduling all wellness checkups for children who need vaccinations. No refills will be authorized until the wellness checkup is completed. Please call us at 817-468-3911 to schedule today.

3. All parents and children will be required to follow hygiene protocol prior to entering the office. Families are escorted in, hands sanitised, and led directly to the exam rooms.  Only one parent per child.  (We are happy to Facetime with the other parent while in the exam room).

4. Non-essential visitors (reps, liaisons) will be asked to schedule a meeting via Zoom and can leave samples at the door for us to collect.

5. We will do our best to schedule well and sick children separately. Well-child checks will be in the morning and sick children in the afternoon. If your child who is scheduled for a well visit becomes sick, please notify our office so we can schedule you appropriately.

6.  We are limiting visitors to one parent per child, we can assist you with Facetime if you would like your partner to participate during the appointment.

7. We now have the ability to offer televisits. This will allow us to confidentially video chat with you and your child online. We encourage you to use this service if possible, please call us at 817-468-3911 to schedule today.

8. Staff Protocol: All staff self monitor daily for symptoms and must take temp at the beginning of their shift.  All staff wear face masks. If a procedure is done that might generate aerosolized particles, staff must wear face shields and N95 masks.

As always our staff is standing by to guide you through this. Please let us know if you have any questions and thank you for your flexibility.
